Description

This is my second portrait I've ever done. I did it a year ago as a practise work for my self. I also made my first one at the same time. I haven't drawn people before...

I used a reference picture which I have partly assembled on the portrait... Proportions are as they seem so this portrait was a magnification from the original.

There are some flawes and my technique is a bit rough so
feedback is highly valued ...and please give a vote.

Yeah. Now try drawing something without copying?

I think the oulines around the face/chin make it look a little cartoon-y. It could also use darker shadows. In the eyes, the highlight should be a stronger speck of light - not a blurry, round streak.

Drawing from photos is good for practice, but it doesn't make for an interesting work of art. Also, if you want more feedback for your sketches, you could try posting them in the "Works In Progress" forum.

It's nice, but i think that some areas should be darker.

More detail in the hair, like everybody else said more darks in places.Copying photos is a valuable way to start,it gives you general proportions and essential information you need for drawing people on your own.No two people look exactly the same,so never stifle your willingness to explore.Your on the right track.

very good! but the face seems a little off If I were you I would have made the shadows darker. Nice job though seeing this isn't your best work I still see that you still are improveing and thats what makes your art get better btw Good job on this! Practice makes perfect! Keep trying and don't give up!
